Why Islam?

 

Often people ask me, why do you want to convert to Islam? Why are you turning your back on the religion you were brought up as… it’s quite simple.. There is only one God and Mohammed is his messenger. I could easily give you that answer or.. I could be more personal.

I’ll be more personal.

When I was 15 I was a born again Christian, my life was perfect. My grandfather had always raised me. When he died, I turned my back on God, I was angry with him.

I turned to drugs and alcohol and completely lost track of where my life was going.

I finally started to sort my life out.. but there was one thing missing, my faith had gone.

I picked up a book on Islam and Christianity and I was amazed at what I found.

We never stop to question the things our parents tell us. My mother had always brought me up a Christian. I had never doubted it until now.

There seemed to be so many flaws in the bible, and I couldn’t understand why.

I chose Islam as I believe this is the only religion.

There is a reason why it is the fastest growing religion in the world with a 200% increase every year.

Ever stopped and asked why?

Because it is the true word of God.
